Getting a Tom Green County Library Card
Special COVID19 Dispensation
Until the current state-sanctioned health-related restrictions are lifted, we will be accepting online application submissions. These accounts will allow you to place up to ten books, DVDs, and other materials on hold (see lending limits policy) and to access the library's plentiful online resources until November 1, 2020. Before the expiration date, you will need to come to the library in person and bring photo ID and proof of residence as described below.
When you come to pick up your materials, please bring your photo ID--you will not be able to take your materials home unless you show this to the delivering Librarian.
Adult card application           Child card application  (17 and under)
To access your account online, you will need your library card number and pin. Your pin is the first three letters of your last name, all lowercase.
Cards are free and available to all Texas residents. A government-issued photo ID and proof of current residence is required. Cards expire every two years. Please notify library staff of any changes to personal information. Replacement cards are $3. Review the full library card policy here.

Applicants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with proper identification and proof of address. Parent/legal guardian is responsible for material checked out on card.
